Zorin OS merupakan distro Linux berbasis Ubuntu yang diperuntukan bagi pengguna yang baru mau menggunakan Linux. Mempunyai antarmuka grafis yang mirip dengan sistem operasi Windows dan mempunyai banyak aplikasi yang biasanya ada di sistem operasi Windows.

Tujuan utama dikembangkannya distro ini adalah sebagai alternatif Linux bagi pengguna Windows dan membuat pengguna Windows dapat menikmati seluruh fitur yang dimiliki oleh Linux tanpa kesulitan.

Zorin OS tersedia dalam dua versi yaitu Free Edition dan Premium Edition yang berbayar. Untuk Free Edition terdiri dari empat versi yaitu Zorin OS Core, Zorin OS Educational, Zorin OS Lite dan Zorin OS Educational Lite. Sedangkan Premiun Edition terdiri dari Zorin OS Ultimate dan Zorin OS Business. Saat ini versi terbaru dari Zorin OS adalah Zorin OS versi 9. Cara Instal :

1. Select the option “Install Zorin”

2. Preparing to Install Zorin OS 12

If your system is connected to the Internet then you can select the below options shown in the screen, these option will apply the updates and will install third party softwares for graphics, wifi and media.

3. Click on Continue

4. Select the Installation type as ‘Erase disk and Install Zorin’

In this step we can specify the installation method, like how the disk will partitioned. We can create the manual partitions by selecting the option “Something else“. But in my case i am going to select the first option “Erase and Install Zorin“, this option will create the partitions automatically for you on the whole disk.

5. Click on “Install Now”

6. In the next window, click on continue to accept “Write changes to the disk”

7. Select the Location and keyboard layout as per your setup

8. Select your location and click on continue

9. Choose the User Name, its password and Host name.

In this step specify the user name, its password and Host name that you want to set during the installation

10. Click on Continue to start the installation

11. Zorin OS 12 Installation Progress

In this step we can see the installation has started and is in progress.

12. Once the Installation is completed, installer will prompt us to restart the system

13. Login to the system – Use the same user name & password that we set during installation
